Growth doesn’t happen by accident. This interactive workshop challenges Members to take an honest look at how they generate local business today andhow to scale up. Members will identify their best opportunities, map the relationships that influence who gets the call, examine their BD process and build a measurable 90-day action plan. The goal is to build the relationships before the opportunity exists and earn the call when it does.
This interactive session focuses on the DKI way and how strong processes, clear expectations and the right KPIs turn opportunity into consistent performance and profitability. The goal is to build an operation that delivers consistently, identifies problems earlier and gets better over time.
PSA should give owners greater visibility and control over their business. This session explores how owners can use PSA to better understand performance, identify bottlenecks, improve accountability and make faster, more informed decisions. Members will share experiences, challenges and best practices while exploring the reporting, workflows and insights that can help turn PSA from a software platform into a valuable management tool. The goal: spend less time looking for answers and more time acting on them.
This session takes Members inside the expectations of DKI’s key clients—what they value, where we are falling short, and what separates average performance from the Members who consistently stand out. Through real-world examples, client feedback and performance data, Members will explore practical strategies to improve service, communication, compliance and customer experience. The goal is to move beyond simply meeting requirements to delighting the client, strengthening DKI’s standing and earning a greater share of future opportunities.
This unique session creates a space for Members to connect openly, peer to peer, without corporate presence. In a roundtable format led by the advisory boaard, participants will discuss challenges, share practical insights, and collaborate on solutions that matter most to their businesses. Designed for us, by us, this session is about honest conversations, collective problem solving, and leaving with actionable takeaways that strengthen both individual operations and the network as a whole.
CAT events create significant opportunity but they can overwhelm a business just as quickly. This practical workshop will explore what Members need to consider before, during and after a major event, whether responding in their own market or supporting another DKI Member. From capacity planning, staffing and estimating to equipment, communications, documentation, cash flow and knowing when to stop accepting work, Members will examine the decisions that determine whether a CAT response becomes a success or a CAT disaster. Drawing on lessons from recent DKI events, the session will help Members build a practical CAT readiness plan that protects their people, customers, reputation and business while allowing them to confidently capitalize when demand surges.
Being busy and being profitable aren’t the same thing. This interactive workshop takes Members beyond revenue to explore the operational and financial decisions that determine how much value their business creates. Using practical restoration-business scenarios, Members will see how changes in gross margin, labour utilization, estimating, billing speed, receivables, write-offs and cost control can have a significant impact on profitability and cash flow. The session will challenge Members to look differently at growth, understand the numbers that matter most, and identify where small improvements in their own business can produce meaningful financial results. The goal isn’t simply to build a bigger business, it’s to build a better, more profitable one.
